Warhammer 40K: Rise and Fall of Great Powers

When

May 30, 2015
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Where

Kingston Gaming Nexus
270 Bagot St., Kingston, Ontario, K7L 3G5

Event Type

Every week you can play two games that count towards the campaign.

There will be a different scenario played each week which is going to be part of the narrative of the campaign.  Results of the campaign will factor into the Iron Man Tournament – and rather than a random pairing for first round, your score in the campaign will help determine your pairing for round one.  If you cannot make all the weeks of the campaign that’s totally fine, you can still be part of it!  If you can’t make the tourney – that’s fine too – be part of the campaign!  If you can’t make the campaign but want to be at the tourney – still fine with us!

So when you play your games (that count towards the campaign with the scenario) you need to let Nexus know what happened… I will be using the results week to week to determine the narrative of the campaign, and what happens in the next scenario!  The deadline for submitting your results is the Saturday of each campaign date (see schedule below).  Scenarios will be provided for the week by Wednesday of each week (at the latest).

You need to pick your faction for this campaign and stick with it for the course of the campaign.  So when you report your results you need to also state whether your faction won or lost (that’s for the narrative part).  When you are challenging your opponent, it is MUCH better for the narrative if you battle an opposing faction, however that is not 100% required if you can’t swing it… we’ll work with whatever results YOU achieve.

The three Factions are as follows:

  • Imperials – all the various space marine factions, sisters, guard, knights, assassins, inquisition
  • Xenos – Eldar, Dark Eldar, Necrons, Tyranids, Harlequins, orks, tau
  • Chaos – Chaos space marines, Chaos daemons, Khorne Daemonkin,  renegades and heretics

Your List

Here’s where things get interesting.  Each week your list MUST include the models that were in the week before.  So if week one you had a squad of ork boyz, they must be in your week two list, however you can add an ork Nob to the squad with a power klaw for example, however you can’t suddenly say “they’re actually lootaz now!”.  You can add models (up to the squad maximum) or upgrades.  You just cannot take anything away from your previous list.

Each week you must bring a legal army list.
