40k Tag Team 2026
Had fun at the team tournament but wished you could have played more games with your favourite partner? Well now’s your chance!
November 7th at Kingston Gaming Nexus
admission: $20 per player (so $40 total for the pair)
Doors open at 8:30 – Dice roll at 9 AM
Format: Doubles!
Painting: at least 50% of your models in your personal 1k force to a three colour minimum.
For this tournament you and your tag team partner will each bring a 1,000 point list and work together as a team.
You will share command points each turn. (so not like teams!) You will act as one cohesive force, so cannot duplicate command rerolls etc. You and your partner will generate one CP per turn just like if it was just you playing a 2k army. Also only 1 extra CP can be gained per turn for the PAIR. So having swarmlord on one team and a space marine captain on another only nets you one. Likewise if you discard a secondary card you only gain a CP for the PAIR.
You will choose ONE of your selected dispositions to be your primary disposition for the match – ie: I’m playing purge imperial agents and my partner is playing take and hold Tau. We decide to be PURGE disposition for the entire tournament (no switching!)
Everyone has 3 DP to play with, yes even though you’re playing a 1k list. This is because this DP system is designed for the 11th edition books and there’s not enough of them out yet for this to be fair. (only new books are getting 12+ 1 DP detachments!)
For this tournament each player MUST bring a different army for their 1k list. Sorry no double orks, double custodes etc.
You do not benefit from the rules of your partner for any army specific rule (ie: reroll to hit auras). Debuffs to the opponents models though (leadership debuffs, death guard auras, etc.) will apply to both players.

9:00 – 11:30 – GAME ONE
11:30 – 12:30 – LUNCH
12:30 – 2:45 – GAME TWO
3:00 – 5:15 – GAME THREE
