What is a Prerelease?
Your very first chance to play with the cards from a brand-new set. A week before the set is released, you can head to Kingston Nexus to crack open some packs, build a deck, and try out all the exciting new cards and mechanics in a friendly, informal tournament.
Prereleases are some of the most fun, Magic events around. Gather at Kingston Nexus with a bunch of other Magic players who love the game as much as you do, and make new friends as you all dive into the uncharted waters of the new set together!
What is Commander Draft?
Inspired by one of the most popular formats, this is a multiplayer fight to the finish! At the start of Commander Draft, each player adds their foil year-stamped promo to their draft pool opens one of three booster packs and drafts two cards into their card pool at a time. This play style is generally meant for increments of four players, and the seating arrangement should be at random. You may add multiples of the same card to your deck and each deck must have at least 60 cards.
- Each player starts at 40 life
- Players can attack multiple players at a time
- Last player standing wins
