¡el Diablo Verde! Painting Competition
SHOW US YOUR BEST!
This year, as part of our 27th anniversary celebrations, Nexus will be hosting a new painting competition: ¡el Diablo Verde! The idea is simple: bring in the one model you want to show off the most, be it your best ever or your latest and most exciting, and it will be entered in the running for prizes and glory as judged by our amazing local painting experts! Everyone will get a chance to see the hidden gems and longstanding greats in our community’s collections, with the proceeds going to our local food bank.
RULES
Between May 1st and 15th entrants can bring their entry in and pay the entry fee of $20, at which point entries will be displayed in our play area showcase for our judges to consider. Entries must be one model that fits in the allotted 6 inch square, and entrants will be limited to one entry each – so choose wisely! On May 30th, as part of our anniversary celebration (and during our Great Crusade tournament) we’ll announce the winners, at which point you’ll be able to take your model home along with any prizes you might have won.
PLACEMENTS
Our judges will determine the 3 best entries, highlighting the absolute best of the best, and will rank these such that a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place emerge, plus a winner 14 years old or younger whom we’ll name our Young Demonz. Each of these winners will receive prizes based on their place in the competition, as well as the bragging rights appropriate to their achievement!
