Join Ben from Primal Poodle Painting for a class in two-brush blending, the technique popularized by the Privateer Press studio and such award-winning painters as Meg Maples, Geordie Hicks, Matt DiPietro and Dallas Kemp!
This is an intermediate-level class, great for taking your painting to the next level. Whether you’ve been struggling with smooth blending already, or you just feel like you’ve hit a wall in your painting development, you’ll get something valuable out of this class. Over the course of the afternoon, we’ll cover how to achieve a smooth blend on cloth, metal and skin.
Please bring brushes and a model you are comfortable experimenting on! (If you’re not sure what model to bring, I recommend any of the pre-primed RPG models from WizKids or Paizo, available at Nexus, as an economical ready-to-paint option.) Please note that this technique does involve brush-licking, but non-toxic paints will be supplied. Feel free to bring your own paints, but be aware that not all miniature paints are equally non-toxic. (Formula P3 and Legendary paints are the safest, followed by GW. Vallejo and Scale 75 are not recommended)
Class will begin at 1 pm and run until 5 pm. If enrollment is >8 people, we might try for an earlier start to make sure there’s time to work with everyone individually.
