Event Type

If you’re a miniature painter with some experience, you’ve probably tried your hand at OSL (object-sourced lighting). If you haven’t, you’ve probably seen it and wondered how it’s done. Well, in this class, Ben from Primal Poodle Studio will explain the mysteries of OSL, and beyond! One of the biggest secrets to convincing OSL is understanding all the OTHER light sources hitting your model, and how to put together a lighting scheme that makes sense. We will be painting our model using two light sources, one from the model itself (OSL) and one from outside the model (ambient lighting). Some familiarity with highlighting and shading is necessary for this class, and confident brush control is a plus but absolutely not required.

The class runs for 2 hours, from 2-4 pm, and costs $30.
A miniature will be provided, and the full range of Legendary paints will be available for your use.
Please bring your own brush (I recommend the Army Painter Regiment brush, if you are looking for a new one).

If you choose to attend both this class and the morning class on Painting Realistic Skin Tones, you can attend both for $50.
Please Contact Nexus Directly for the Double Class Deal.
