X-Wing: 2015 Summer League

Each player has been designated a faction (Rebels, Imperials, Scum & Villainy).  Those players belonging to each faction must work together to conquer the galaxy.

A galaxy map has been created.  Each faction starts with their own sector of the galaxy.  Each square owned by a faction has a flag indicating which faction controls it – uncontrolled spaces have no flag.

• Rebels – Red flag
• Imperials – Blue flag
• Scum & Villainy – Green flag

When playing a league game, the winning player captures a square.  The square must be adjacent to a square owned by their faction, and either belong to the faction of the losing player or be uncontrolled.  At the end of the league, the faction that controls the most squares will RULE THE GALAXY!!!!

Planets

Planets are situated across three squares; each square must be attacked and captured individually before a faction owns the planet.  If a faction owns a planet, each square of that planet is worth double the amount of points.   When attacking a planet square, both players must agree that they are playing for a planet, and agree on which square they are playing for before the battle begins.  If a faction owns the majority of the planet they are considered to be “defending” the planet.  A player defending a planet receives an extra 3 points per square their faction owns with which to build their squad (i.e. if they own the whole planet, the player gets an extra 9 points to defend with).

Fleets

Fleet squares are represented by an “F” on the square, which contain the faction’s main fleet.  Fleets are made up of a large number of big and small ships.  To represent this, these are Epic battles of 400 points or more.  These epic battles must be played with at least 4 players.  Fleets are a major strategic asset to each faction.  To represent this, each fleet is worth 10 points.
